How do I convince the Rogers/Bell/Telus sales rep to remove the data plan from an iPhone?

Question by Solid Snake (formerly βling βling™): How do I convince the Rogers/Bell/Telus sales rep to remove the data plan from an iPhone?
I am planning to buy an iPhone 4 soon, and I figured I don’t need 3G as I am surrounded by WiFi for 90% of the day, and it isn’t worth something like $ 15-$ 20 a month just to check my email on the bus.

Are there any tips you can give? Be nice and kind or be aggressive and demanding? Which strategies work best?

Best answer:

Answer by telusguy
If you want to get a subsidized (discounted) price when you buy the phone then it is absolutely required to have a data plan for the duration of the contract. The ONLY way to not have a data plan is to pay full price for the phone. 0 or 0, depending on the model you want.
