Apple IPhone Tips: 5 More Tips to Better Efficiency

Apple IPhone Tips: 5 More Tips to Better Efficiency

Are you really making the best use of your spanking new iPhone? You did buy it because of all the new features that you can take advantage of right? Well, are you making use of everything? Here is another list of 10 quick tips you can use to make better use of your iPhone. Using these tips will make your iPhone your friend, and allow you to improve your efficiency and get faster at taking full advantage of your cool new gadget. Let’s get started.

1. Share your URLs

Let’s say you are surfing the web and you come across something that you really want to share with your friends. Instead of copying and pasting the URL into an e-mail you just have to create, tap the Address Bar, then tap Share. A new e-mail message, containing the URL, will open in Mail; just choose a recipient(s), add any comments you want to include, and tap Send.

2. Pick where you listen to voicemail

If you’ve got a Bluetooth headset, incoming calls get routed there automatically-not so when you call up Visual Voicemail. However, an Audio button on the Visual Voicemail screen lets you set where you listen to your message: the handset, the built-in speaker, or a Bluetooth headset. Your iPhone can differentiate between the different settings. As with the iPod, the iPhone lets you set the speed of audiobook playback.

3. Find another way to scroll through Contacts

Everyone knows that you can scroll through the Contacts list on your iPhone two different ways-either flick your finger on the list to scroll up or down, or tap on one of the letters on the alphabet running down the right side of the screen to jump to contacts beginning with that letter. But there is a third way: hold your finger on the alphabetical list and then slide up and down-you’ll be able to scroll through your Contacts in a more controlled manner than by flicking your finger. The flicking finger method can get tiring after a while because it is less accurate.

4. Scroll through separate boxes on a Web page

If you encounter a scrolling box or list when surfing Safari on your iPhone-say you’re responding to a post at the Macworld forums -and try to scroll using your finger, you’ll find that the entire page scrolls, instead of just the box. The trick is to zoom in and scroll such areas with two fingers. Basically what is happening is when you are on a full-page your iPhone doesn’t know what you are trying to do. By zooming in your iPhone will recognize the box within the page.

5. Save time in driving directions

One of the primary uses for the iPhone’s Map application is to get driving directions. Both the starting point and destination fields offer the Bookmarks button, so you can quickly use a bookmark, recent location, or contact when searching for directions. The first thing you should do in Maps is find your own address and then bookmark it-this will make finding directions to and from locations as easy as tapping your home bookmark. It is a good idea to bookmark all of your frequent destinations as they will all eventually become points of origin.

So what are you waiting for? Get started now and squeeze every bit out of your iPhone.

The Best iPhone Tips And Tricks

The Best iPhone Tips And Tricks

The iPhone is already assured to be one of the best-selling Apple products of all time, and its launch is being awaited by millions of consumers around the world. Even though the iPhone has not actually been released yet, there are a number of iPhone tips and tricks that will come in handy learning now.

iPhone Tips and Tricks

When it comes to iPhone tips and tricks, one of the best involves how you can make the low ringer on the iPhone louder. This is important because in fact one of the most common complaints about the iPhone is that it has such a low ringer volume. If you are one of the many people who finds this to be a problem, then at least there are iPhone tips and tricks you can use to do something about it.

You can easily resolve this issue by using a custom ringtone rather than those already available on the device, and make sure that the ringtone you choose is a loud, high frequency audio.

Another great tip involves how you can watch Google videos over your iPhone, and the process required here is incredibly easy as well. Since the iPhone’s Safari browser did not support Flash, the Apple Company therefore had to come up with a new application for the device which would allow streaming video to play on it, and yet it does not work on Apple’s new application.

You can however find various YouTube videos that give you step by step guides of the trick that is required to watch Google videos right from your iPhone.

Another of the best iPhone tips and tricks involves streaming audio from your iPhone to your Bluetooth headset. This is another important issue because many people were very disappointed when they learned that Bluetooth’s A2DP profile was not included in the iPhone feature list. In order to use Bluetooth, the device must be compatible with certain Bluetooth profiles.

To achieve this you will need to pair a Bluetooth headset with your iPhone, switch on the headset so that it can perform the handshake with the iPhone, and once you have done this you will need to go into the Visual Voicemail screen and tap the Audio button in the upper right hand corner. You will then receive an audio selection dialog, from which you select the Headset option, and then you switch over to the iPod and begin playing your music or video.

There are many other really great iPhone tips and tricks that you can use as well, all of which are really great because they allow you to get even more out of your iPhone device. http://www.the-iphone.biz

Question by heatherette: Do you know any good iPhone tricks and tips?
My husband and I have had the iPhone for months and I am always finding little new things to do. Nothing big, just things like simultaneously clicking the “Home” and “Power Off” button at the same time will take a picture of whatever your screen is on. Anybody know anything else cool?

Pressing and holding any application on the home screen will cause all of the applications to start jiggling. You can then move the applications around to where you want them to go.

Tips & Tricks for your iPhone Camera

Tips & Tricks for your iPhone Camera

There are many reasons why individuals buy the Apple iPhone.  Whether you want to streamline your portable electronic devices, or if you want to have a convenient way to stay connected to your friends, family and business contacts, no matter why you have purchased the iPhone, you will find a way to make it perfect for you.  However, one of the greatest features about the iPhone is the 2.0 Megapixel camera that is attached to the phone.

Unlike other cell phone camera, the iPhone camera actually takes decent photos that are perfect for your MySpace page.  Yet, there are several tips to taking great pictures with your iPhone camera, and if you apply these tips to your iPhone than you will be able to take beautiful pictures with your cell phone.

The first tip that you need to remember about your iPhone camera concerns how it actually takes pictures.  If you have tried to take photos with your iPhone, than you may have noticed something was slightly off.  Unlike traditional digital cameras that have a two stage process to taking a photograph, the iPhone features a one-stage process.  Also, unlike traditional digital cameras that take the photo once you press the shutter button, the iPhone has a much different process.  When you press the shutter button of the iPhone, nothing happens, however, it is when you release the shutter button that the iPhone takes the photo.  This has resulted in many photo’s being slightly “off timing” because the users are not used to how this camera actually takes photos.

A great tip for taking a photograph with your iPhone is to press the shutter button, and then set up your shot.  After you are satisfied with what you are seeing, than you can release the shutter button to take the photograph.  Following this tip will allow you to take better composed photographs, as well as pictures that are properly timed.  The next tip for your iPhone camera is how you set up your contact list.  This tip is really fun and will make your contact list hilarious for you and everyone around you.  When you take photos of your contacts, you can set them to where they will appear when they call you.  A great way to have fun with this feature is to place your friends on one side of a glass screen and then place yourself on the other side.

Make your friend press their face up against the glass while you take the photo.  This will serve as an optical illusion, and when they call you it will look as if they are trapped within your iPhone.  If you are looking for a fun way to express yourself, and to just have a great time with friends, set up your contact list this way.  The iPhone has many different tips and tricks within it, however, the key is to simply experiment with these tips to make them work for you.  Perhaps the greatest aspect about the iPhone is the fact that it gives users the ability to customize and create a phone environment that is solely their own.
