does iPhone never used any WAP technology?
Question by chinawood: does iPhone never used any WAP technology?
iPhone is equipped with Safari WEB browser, and it seems iPone does not support visiting WAP site.
i have a question, if iPhone is visiting the yahoo with HTTP protocol, will iPhone use some WAP technology? or WAP technology is never used and unrelated to iPhone?
in the operator end, there must be HTTP proxy, but from the phone to the operator end, will iPhone still require WAP technlogy for the Last Mile transmition?

WAP is like HTML.
most phones use WAP , iPhone uses HTML. Both are served over HTTP.
When the iPhone sees a WAP page it may be confused or it may get part right.
No WAP proxies are involved.
