Question by belial1972: What does it say in the text written in calligraphy in the Apple iPhone ad for China?
A little boy is learning to write and his mother is showing the scene via iPhone to the boy’s grandparents. The link to the video is this:

I would really like to know what the Chinese characters mean in that scene.

That is 龍馬精神, if written in simplified Chinese (as was done in the video) it would be 龙马精神. It means strong and healthy, and it’s usually said to your seniors (old people). It’s a respectful way to tell them that they may be old but still look full of vitality. Sometimes people may say this to one another during the Chinese New Year to wish each other good health.

Just fyi, this 4 word proverb is more than just “good health” as this can be easily expressed with simple words. Knowing various 4 word proverbs shows that you’re a learned person, and make you seem more educated than just saying “hey old man, good health to you”.
