iPhone 3G TouchScreen Repair Part 1

Part 1 of 5 – I smashed my iPhone. The following videos show the process of repairing the touchscreen using the replacement part purchased from pdaparts.com. In particular, we show the steps that are missing from the other videos on youtube. These videos are only lightly edited. We appologize for the length but we feel that cutting it down to 10 minutes or less does not give the full scope of the repair. By the way, we have now seen someone use a suction cup to help open the iPhone – It looks much easier.

  1. @toddeddy1 Why didn’t you watch the video through first and take more care, I followed this video through and it worked fine, this is the best instruction video because it’s just two guys doing it blind, not some guy who’s done it a hundred times, so you see the bits they struggled on, I struggled on them too, but following the video my iPhone is fixed, if you hack at it like a spastic you’re going to fuck it up, you can’t blame these guys.

  2. dont use the pry tool thats just gonna damage the rubber piece between the digitizer i recommend using the suction cup must be stupid video u guys watched
