  1. You upgraded your baseband. Currently that baseband is not unlockable with ultrasn0w, as you have unfortunately discovered. You should have researched whether or not it was safe to do that, because now your phone is useless to you. There is a method to upgrade to iOS 4.1 without upgrading your baseband, but it’s too late now as you can’t downgrade your baseband even if you downgrade your firmware.

iOS 4.2 will be released within a matter of days, and an unlock will be released after that…. however, I’m not sure if the unlock is just for those people who have upgraded to 4.2 while preserving their baseband.

  2. ok . first if u have 05.14.02 version and 4.1 firmware than u won’t be able to unlock it means u cannot use vodafone. i have 3g and i upgraded it with 4.1 firmware and now i m stuck. but
if u have 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 than u have to restore it again and use redsnow 0.9.5b5-5 version with 4.0 firmware. jailbreak it with 4.0firmware then download ultrasnow through cydia. that might work.
otherwise just wait few days. 4.2 firmware is coming up, so we will be good. i guess.
