How to get started with the iPhone SDK?

Question by ExtraCrispy: How to get started with the iPhone SDK?
My friend and I really want to work with the iPhone SDK but we have no experience with coding or computer programming! We have found books on it and still need to get a mac to start coding. We are very determined and would really appreciate any advice. Thanks.

It is a few hours left whit now answer, so I will give my 2 cents. XCode with the iPhone SDK can be difficult to learn. I would suggest that you get the programming logic down by using QBasic or Pascal. Once you have the logic down move to learning Objective-C (or a c language) and then start programming the iPhone.

So after deciding the last android book was far too out dated for me to gain any real knowledge, I ordered myself a couple of new book. These 2 just came out, and I made sure they both covered the most recent versions of the iPhone SDK and the Android SDK.

iPhone? Yes. I bought a mac so I figured it’s about time I learned to do some iPhone development. I was looking for a book that would be a complete solution for learning iPhone, and this book’s tag line is "A Complete Course in iPhone and iPod touch Programming". Plus I really like Apress books, so it seemed like a good fit. A search on craigslist for people hiring android developers compared to the number of people hiring iPhone developers gives you a clear cut winner in career advancement.

The android book was purchased primarily because I still really want to do it. The last book became very outdated very quickly. This book covers 1.0 version of the SDK, so I know there won’t be any problems.
