It doesn’t flip 180 degrees, it goes sideways. When you lie down and you hold the phone horizontally then it would flip 180 degrees, but since you are already laying with 90 degrees it would be annoying to read.
So instead of going upside down, the phone flips only 90 degrees, which makes perfect sense when using your phone.
So technically, it does flip, just not upside down.
(I’m sorry if I’m a little vague, English isn’t my native language)
