Question by : What can I do to prevent iPhone 4 from cutting off my title when adding to home screen?
I have long web page title and when adding to home screen in iPhone older versions the whole title is visible in the confirmation dialog. When I add to home screen in iPhone 4 the title is cut off after the 12th symbol. Is there a way to stop this cutting so iPhone is showing the full title by default?

Your text will be cut off not by the number of characters, but the length of the string measured in pixels. Because of the nature of the font that they used, characters are different widths.

There is no way to stop the titles from being cut.

You can however, if you are a developer, abbreviate the title and make sure that it will not be cut off!!
