What is the difference between a MAC and a PC? And what features do you get in a mac?

Question by andreia0717: What is the difference between a MAC and a PC? And what features do you get in a mac?
A description of mac features. What’s the difference between a regular mac book and a mac book pro?

Macs run mostly software made by Apple, so they feel more tightly integrated and tend to be more user friendly. They are also virtually invulnerable to the virus/spyware/malware problems on Windows.

Windows has a much larger installed user base, so it is more common to find other people using Windows. That doesn’t necessarily make it better but it means that if you are going to rely on people to help you they may not be familiar with the Mac. (but then again odds are if you have a Mac you’re not gonna need help!)

Other than the larger size in the ipad, the reading feature, the keyboard docking and camera connecting feature, the 3G, and the microphone, are there any other benefits of the ipad over the ipod touch. Also, how much is the monthly fee for the 3G network on the ipad?

Best answer:

Answer by Max
Nope, although the bookstore app has potential for online textbooks. And for 3g… i’d have to guess around 10-20 bucks a month?

What is the difference between an iPad and an iPhone/iPod touch?

Question by ♪єℓℓιє ßєℓℓy♫: What is the difference between an iPad and an iPhone/iPod touch?
To me, the iPad seems just like a giant iPod touch. How are they different? Does the iPad have different capabilities? I already have an iPod touch, so would it be a waste to get an iPad?

iPad has a bigger screen, some apps catered for the iPad, and more expensive models have AT&T 3G for data connectivity. If these things are not as important to you, it might not be worth the money to buy an iPad. Let’s face it – for the price of an iPad, you can buy a computer to support your iPod.

The difference between an iPhone, and iPod Touch is the iPhone has cellular services, integrated phone, integrated SMS/MMS, and can support handsfree bluetooth.

what is the difference in the iphone now and the iphone with 3g technology?

Question by dave: what is the difference in the iphone now and the iphone with 3g technology?
and should i wait for the 3g iphone

Best answer:

Answer by runFunning
the current iPhone uses EDGE which is the internet at roughly twice dial up speeds… fairly slow for today’s modern webpages ( but not obnoxious )

3G is closer to broadband speeds you get at home… so the web pages load much faster… about 1-3 seconds as opposed to EDGEs 5-20seconds

sure wait for it… it’ll give you time to save some money… and an excuse as to why you haven’t purchased one yet…

any idea when the 3G will be coming out? well, it sounded like a good plan 🙂
