Question by polaris_x2003: iPhone Screen cracked due to cold weather what are my options?
I left my iPhone in the car. Last week in Georgia, the weather at night was pretty painful. And the next day, as I was getting in the car, I see a bunch of cracks on the top of my iPhone screen. I was wondering if that is covered under the warranty (I only had this one for 3 months. Really now?) And Could I exchange it or have them replace the screen? That should not be considered abuse since I did not drop it.

You should be able to get a new one. Just go to the At&t store. If they don’t accept it, go to your local apple store. The apple store accepts almost every broken apple product, and if they can’t fix it they will give you a brand new one no matter what.
What do you think? Answer below!
You should be able to get it repaired since you didn’t drop it or throw it. It’s better to go to a Apple store, instead of a At&t store because At&t will give you the run around.
My friend dropped his and it cracked and the guy at the Apple store sent it off under warranty.
We was worried about that because it says in the warranty that the Service may not be available if your iPhone has been damaged due to accident or abuse. It doesn’t say anything about leaving it in extreme hot or cold, so you should be alright.
If you do have to pay it’s a $249 charge, ouch.
If they happen not to cover it when you go, try going back later in the day. If you go in the morning then go back after shift change. That can make a big difference.
Then if that doesn’t work you can buy the replacement screen for $150.00 from:

and replace it yourself

But I wouldn’t recommend that because it will Void your warranty

Unfortunately the iPhone warranty would not cover this. Weather damage is considered accidental damage and Apple will not replace the iPhone.
Your best bet is to contact AppleCare at 1-800-MYIPHONE or make an apple store appointment to go over repair options. It would be much cheaper to do this than to purchase a new iPhone.
