Question by Makia: What Can You Tell Me About The Service Of The iPhone 5 From Sprint?
I plan on getting an iphone 5 from sprint, but I’m scared their internet is too slow and I their signal isn’t good. The main reason why I want this from sprint is because they’re the only company that offers unlimited internet for the iphone 5. But why have internet at all if its slow. Right?
Answer by Rheanys The Sprint network is slower than the AT&T’s or Verizon’s. However, as far as signal goes, that really depends on the area. If a lot of people in your area have Sprint, chances are good that if a lot of others have them the service in your area is good. You can also Google cell phone dead spots and use the websites that come up to see if Sprint has bad service (if you live in a metropolitan area).
If you are willing to go prepaid, you can get unlimited data packages with the iPhone 5 on Virgin and Straight Talk. You could also buy a factory unlocked iPhone 5 and put in on T-Mobile.
Question by Aiza: How to back up old stuff onto new iPhone 5?
Just got an iPhone 5 for Christmas, and I need to transfer my old stuff from my old iPhone to my new phone. I already have my contacts cause the guy from the Verizon store did it for me but he said I need to transfer it myself from my computer.. I think I have an idea on how to back it up & stuff but I don’t wanna mess it up and lose everything haha. So if anyone who’s done this help step through step to transfer all my old stuff onto my new phone? Thanks a bunch!
Answer by Eric Plug your old iPhone in and click on it when it pops up. Click the back up option. When it is finished, plug in your iPhone 5. Click the restore button and click restore from backup. Click the most recent one and bam.
Question by Joshua: How can I switch between a Sprint Galaxy S III and an Iphone 5?
My mom is planning on moving to Sprint and I get to pick my phone, but I like both the Iphone 5 and the Galaxy S III. My mom plans to get the iphone and I plan the galaxy but is there any way we can trade sim cards so I can use the iphone for a while??? Please help!
Answer by zbalat The iPhone 5 has a SIM card (for use on GSM networks outside of the USA) and the Galaxy does not use a SIM card at all.
Sprint is a CDMA provider so SIM cards don’t do a thing on their network.
Question by BornConfused: How to remove firmware change logs on iphone 5?
I want to jailbreak my iPhone 5, but I know that the warranty will be void if I do, but that is only if they see the firmware changes on the device. I know there is a program called iFile on Cydia that shows those changes, but not sure if I can change them. Does anyone have a way to jailbreak my phone but still keep the warranty? And incinerate any trace that Apple employees might find?
Answer by Daniel As of today, there is not yet a jail beak available for the iPhone 5. I know developers are working on a tethered jailbreak, but they say it will be a while before an untethered jailbreak is made. As far as jail breaking and keeping your warranty, I highly doubt that will happen. Apple has something call behavioral scan that works wonders with ios6. When they plug your phone into their machines, they run a full diagnostic on your phone. In essence they know everything from if your battery is working fine, are all the sensors functioning, what apps are crashing, if any super user access files have been tampered, and if its been jail broken. If you are adamant on jail breaking your i5 and having some kind of back up warranty, you should probably buy AppleCare for 0 or put monthly insurance on your phone. Even though AppleCare normally won’t cover it if its jail broken, you can always play the innocent victim to the great customer service reps at your local apple store. Good luck fellow i5 owner.
Question by Erin: How much would an upgrade to the IPHONE 5 from the LG COSMOS TOUCH?
Also should i get the iphone 5 or wait till the new iphone comes out? Cuz i heard their making it bigger like the size of the Galaxy and that wont fit in my pocket….
Answer by Brandon Depends on the contract you’re on.
If you’re up for an upgrade, it’s probably going to cost about 0 for the cheapest iPhone 5.
And whatever the next iPhone is like, I guarantee you it wont be larger. They already made the screen larger in the iPhone 5 and that’s probably about as big as it’s going to go.
