  1. @CoD6QuIcKScOpEs After you double click the .xib file, you a new window will open up. And after you’ve got the right column up, there is a box just similar to 1:42 drag a label from that box into the .xib box just like Bucky does at 0:50.

  2. @CoD6QuIcKScOpEs Double click the .xib file in the left column. Then to get the labels, go to the top right of the Xcode window. There are three buttons grouped together labeled View. Click the Right most button. A column will appear on the right side of your screen. At the bottom of this column, you can scroll up and down to find the label.

  3. My problem ! Command /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/gcc-4.2 failed with exit code 1

    What do i do HELP !!!!

  4. Hey Bucky… I am not sure…But if you could please tell me difference of the below code when compared to urs above…which is also working the same way as yours…I have directly called the titleofbutton instead of storing in a newlabel…

    @synthesize labelsText;

    -(IBAction) clicked: (id)sender {

    NSString * titleOfButton = [sender titleForState:UIControlStateNormal];
    labelsText.text = titleOfButton;
    }

  5. You should see the Number Objects tutorial, and fully understand it so you don’t get lost here. I personally don’t like the way obj c sets it’s variables. So i took and synthesized the newLabelText string. With a Java background is hard to understand this weird syntax :S

  6. Can’t we just use the *titleOfButton in the labelsText.text ?
    Why did we have to create a new *newLabelText string to hold the *titleOfButton string?

  7. I’ve tried and tried in Xcode 4 but I keep getting Method + Alloc not found (return type defaults to ‘id’) .. SIGABRT on this line:

    NSString *newLabelText = [[NSString Alloc]initWithFormat: @”%@”, titleOfButton];

  8. Wow, tutorial number 6 and I’m already slightly confused. I’ve watched all the Objective-C tutorials and understood those perfectly. I also program in Python. 🙁

    I hope it’ll get easier.

  9. I’ve been in youtube for years, this is my first comment cuz Bucky is so great. Wondering where else on the earth you could find such great tutorials for free even to compare with those selling out there. Thanks alot for all your excellent tutorials Bucky. Keep up the good works Bucky. We all will always support you 🙂

  10. that 1 person klicked the Dislike button accidentally. In his country, “thumbs down” is equivalent to our “thumbs up” and vice versa, so don’t worry 🙂

  11. @Untadaike i solved the problem: my mistake was i didn’t save before i build, u may try to save your user interface builder first : D
